Vauxhall Nova Hatchback 1.5 TD Merit 3d (2000/V) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Cheap to buy. Minted examples fetch good money.
Costs
Cheap as chips. Oil, fuel and service etc etc. Low cost running.

On the road
Driving
Amazingly quick. Great acceleration through the gears. Great response times.
Performance
Has to be a 5. Never driven a Diesel as quick as this. Will stick with a Nova GTE till about 70MPH, no problems.

Living with it
Reliability
Never EVER let me down. ALWAYS starts, rain or shine. No problems whatsoever.
Image
Very dated with its retro shape. Suggest GSI facelift to improve image.
Comfort
Standard seats are a pain on long drives. They don't hold you well. I suggest the Nova SR bucket style seats. Very comfortable.

Security and Service
Security
Erm… Bad. Locks can be levered out, can be slim jimmed, and picked. Steering lock is pathetic - could be broken by a 5 year old child!
Service
Most work carried out by myself, but Vauxhall will take care of it like it was a new car.
