Vauxhall Nova Hatchback 1.5 TD Merit 3d (1990/G) Owner Review

Economy
Value
You don't get much in the way of creature comforts, but what do you expect for the price?
Costs
Costs absolute peanuts to run. Some parts can be expensive though.

On the road
Driving
Great fun to drive! A bit bouncy and slightly agricultural, but sticks to the road well.
Performance
Out of the way GTE! The TD is a flying machine! The acceleration is outstanding, and it still returns above 55 MPG!

Living with it
Reliability
There may not be many electric luxuries in my car, but the ones I have got have called it a day! Everything else has never caused me any grief.
Image
It looks cute, but ONLY with 3 doors, and ONLY in hatchback guise! The police give it a hard time because of the teeny-boppers that try their hardest to drive!
Comfort
My seat has all but collapsed, and with all the bouncing around and the awkward driving position, it's got to be a 1. Sorry Nova, you're just too God damned uncomfortable!

Security and Service
Security
Excellent on the TD. Who wants to nick a diesel? Mine has an immobiliser, so it should give it 20 seconds before it vanishes from my drive!
Service
I've never had to visit the main dealer... yet!
