Vauxhall Nova Saloon 1.2 Merit 4d (1988/E) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Cheap to buy, insure and run. Great at keeping costs low.
Costs
Around 55mpg for a 1.2 and no parts break, so no parts need replacing!

On the road
Driving
Hangs on in corners surprisingly well. Can be pushed and won't push back. Brakes are soft with a full load.
Performance
If you push it, it'll go. Maybe whines a little, but it's just a 1.2.

Living with it
Reliability
Amazing. One earth wire and one fuel line in two years.
Image
Not great at all really. Keep it clean and rust free and you'll be looking pretty standard.
Comfort
Four (tallish) people and and their luggage, thats about it. A bit bouncy, but that can be fun.
