-
Economy
Value
Bought second-hand - given spec and ability, a bargain.
Costs
Sups petrol, but no worse than expected - average of 24mpg in real world motorway/city commuting, 34+ just on motorways.
-
On the road
Driving
Rear drive chassis inspires confidence - reasonably nimble for size.
Performance
Adequate. V6 lusty if revved - big heavy car, though.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Usual replacement items on a 10 year old car - no unexpected failures, pretty tried 'n' tested mechanicals as far as I can see.
Image
It's an enormous, ex-executive choice load-lugging family wagon, with faintly country overtones - hasn't the preconceptions of BMW, Merc & Volvo - big, anonomous and perfectly acceptable everywhere.
Comfort
Utterly relaxing mile-muncher packed with useful gizmos (air con, 6 stack CD, cruise, heated seats for the winter mornings, electric everything).
-
Security and Service
Security
IR remote locking, alarm, immobiliser, still sitting on my driveway...
Service
It's 10 years old - if you're still using main dealers at this age your a mug! However, parts and advice are cheap and easily found.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
92k miles and still going strong - no major repairs in this area during my ownership.
Other
Reviews of this model at this age show you either get a niggler or a good 'un - mech report worth it as many have been to the moon and back. Estate reasonably unusual and can carry you and HUGE loads in comfort, worth a chance if the car seems straight.
Ownership
