What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My friends think its hilarious and take the mickey constantly when ever they see it. Kids are mortified and make me park round the corner when I drop them off! I think the neighbor thinks my business has gone bust .... it only a matter of time before his wife starts bringing food over - Bingo!

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes - a hundred times over. Its a £700 car that has not gone wrong and does everything I want of it. Yes it smells of old mans farts but that is a small price to pay my friends!

What are you likely to buy next?

Tricky question.... I could do with a seven seater (wife plus three kids) and will most likely buy an s-max before the year is out, but the beast is staying !

Did you get a good deal and why?

I bought the car from a fantastic gent that lived half a mile from my house, he had owned the car from new and had every reciept, mot and tax disc! £700? yes please!

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Cheap estate with a tow bar withing half a mile of my house!

What was the dealer like?

I dont think a dealer would touch a £700 Omega with a barge pole.... unless he was a scrap dealer!

What's it like to drive?

Honestly ? better than I ever could have imagined. I needed to sell my Range Rover to fund a property conversion and planned to have a cheaper "nice car" to run about in and the omega to pull a trailer and fill up with rubbish. Decided to buy a BMW 330d M Sport Touring as the niceish car and have just sold it after 3 months as I always go to the omega. Is it fast ? no not really? does it eat back roads and spit out record lap times? absolutely not! But it rides beautifully and is quiet and relaxing to drive - and that suits 99.9% of my driving. I actually cant believe I like it so much.

What's it like to park?

Not brilliant - that said i have my own space at work and a big drive at home so it dont do much parallel parking.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nope its like a bloody tank.

What's most practical about your car?

Its massive, the boot is huge the rear seats stow flat. Its stupidly easy to drive with a lazy v6 engine and slushbox. The bonnet is a bit long and I am a borderline midget and no parking sensors but thats my only complaint.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Heated seats (cloth - didnt event know you could have those!) that get slightly too toasty on the highest setting.
