  • Economy

    Value

    4 out of 5 4.0

Loads of toys for the money.

    Costs

    3 out of 5 3.0

What more can you expect from a 2.5 automatic? Fuel consumption is reasonable, attaining 33mpg on a long run but less than 20mpg around town.

  • On the road

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Surprisingly involving for a large luxury car.

    Performance

    3 out of 5 3.0

A little bit sluggish, but it is a heavy car; once on a motorway it really shines through, covering miles in relaxing comfort.

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    4 out of 5 4.0

Never let me down, although it did start leaking oil from the cambox covers and that filled the spark plug voids and caused a misfire. Gaskets to fix the problem were expensive (about £60 for a couple of bits of rubber), did the work myself, so saved.

    Image

    3 out of 5 3.0

Not bad image - bit of an old duffer's car, but I thought it was pretty stylish and my wife loved it.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Everything is where it should be, the only problem being a lack of adjustment for the lumbar region, but this could just have been the car I had.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    4 out of 5 4.0

    Deadlocks, immobiliser and alarm.

    Service

    3 out of 5 3.0

Had little to do with the dealer - they are all the same as far as I am concerned.
