Vauxhall Senator 3.0i CD 24V 4d Auto (LT) (1999/S) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Great value for an old car, all the kit, power, comfort, reliability.
Costs
Even by today's standards It's still economical. 25mpg , £250 annual service, try and beat it!

On the road
Driving
Good power with control, good feel from rear end, steering may be a little dull but forgivable.
Performance
As good as BMW. In sport mode it has very long legs in all gears. Auto 'box a little hesitant when pushed hard, top gear too high for long steep climbs even at motorway speeds.

Living with it
Reliability
Built like a tank, if serviced these cars will have VOLVO like durability, don't be scared to buy one.
Image
Image was never like that of BMW, MERC but non the less a very smart car, Vauxhall's best kept secret.
Comfort
Great seats, good leg room in rear, controls all nicely to hand, but driving position ever so slightly off.
-
Security and Service
Security
Decent alarm system for its time, but door locks poor, and central locking tepermental.
