Economy
Value
Purchased new by my company - I would not be parting with £29,000 for one of these - this is BMW 330D estate territory which has much better image. Woeful depreciation will see my car worth less than £14000 before it's first birthday!
Costs
None incurred so far. A little thirsty, but to be expected.

On the road
Driving
Wallows on the twisty bits, uninvolving drive and has sluggish gear change, but on the plus side it's very comfortable and effortless on motorways and long journeys.
Performance
A slight disappointment for me, but it is more of a cruiser and carries a fair weight. Very good on motorway though.

Living with it
Image
I tell people what it costs and they laugh - "£29k for a Vectra with a big bum?!". Don't get me wrong though - I like it!
Comfort
Very comfortable but the standard spec is stingy for the price.

Security and Service
Security
Don't know so far (touch wood)! Expect it should be decent though, and I like the privacy glass...
Service
Not serviced yet but if my previous experience with Vauxhall dealers is anything to go by…
