Economy
Value
Cheap to run, have since sold for the bigger brother calibra 2.0 16v, but held value well and made back a fair amount of money.
Costs
Servicing and costs were low as based on Corsa. Bit shocked to find that most preferred the 1.4 as i found the 1.6 fairly quick, especially from the lights!!!

Driving
I found the Tigra great fun in the dry, but in wet conditions it became very twitchy. Tried to counteract this by putting 205 width tyres on the back, leaving the 185s on the front, yet still became twitchy, although was very stable in dry when cornering.
Performance
For what it is, it was very quick. Most cars from the lights, up to about 50 would struggle to stick with it, although eventually let down by smaller engine, added induction kit which upped output to 111bhp which made it a fun drive!!

Living with it
Reliability
Never had a problem, are renowned for over-heating, thought mine had the same problem, turned out that all the temp gauges rose to 100 degrees b4 the fan cut in!!! kinda freaked me out at 1st!!! rtan like a dream even when pushed.
Image
Unforunately had a girly, hairdresser image, wouldn't have had 1 myself had it not been pushed on me, but eventually loved her. Bit too pretty still though, needed beefing up with wheels etc. 1 reason for change to calibra.
Comfort
I found it comfortable to drive, the only let down being that the steering wheel was non-adjustable!!! This did become infuriating as when i wanted to corner hard, the wheel tended to be higher than comfortable.

Security and Service
Security
Very loud alarm!!! would have been nice to have remote locking but alarm did a good job.

Thought i had an overheating problem, but false alarm. Nothing apart from that. Sold with 88,000 miles and ran beautifully.
Other
Found that it needed a proper parcel shelf to put speakers in!!! windows steam up if you dont have air-con interior door trim was a bit grim after 88,000 miles.
