Summary
What does this car say about you?
a little bit cool, but a little bit practical? Who knows...the amount of dents in it it probably says my parking is not so good!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Generally they like it
Would you buy this car again and why?
yes, it is a nice car, but like most cars it does need maintainence and it's not so good for carring bulky loads!
What are you likely to buy next?
not sure

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£16,500
When did you buy the car?
May 2006
Did you get a good deal and why?
Managed to haggle down quite a bit from the list price, but still not a cheap option
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Wanted a convertible and the Tigra was somewhat unnusual at the time. Was torn between this and the Peugeot 206cc, went with the Tigra as the dealership was more helpful
What was the dealer like?
Very friendly- would thoroughly recomment them

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Don't by the diesel one if you want a fast car, but it's as fast as it needs to be
What's it like to park?
visibility not great....make sure you get the one with the parking sensors

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
77,000 miles in, the car has had a lot of work- more than I would have expected, but not a complete money-burner. I've had two egr valves, a new alternator and somehow the drive chain got twisted at one point which mystified everyone. The boot mechanism and the roof mechanism have so far been reliable and no problems with the gearbox or clutch. The windows are a pain in the winter as the frameless drop window will freeze shut in icy weather. Car is still on it's first battery
What's most practical about your car?
This is not a practical car, but I am a car booter and people are amazed at the amount of stuff that goes in if I pack it properly. The most practical thing is the small diesel engine- I get about 550 miles from the tank which I think is 7 gallons.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
C'mon...the roof!
