Economy
Value
Well-specified, comfortable, a lot of car for your money.
Costs
Average running costs, until it goes wrong, and dealers cost A LOT.
-
On the road
Driving
No evidence of erratic and unpredictable steering faults. Handles fine.
Performance
As good as can be expected. Doesn't seem to hate the occasional red-lining, but quick and good handling.

Living with it
Reliability
As OK in first 3 years - then more time in the workshop than out of it. In less than a year it needed new clutch, clutch slave cylinder, water pump, alternator and battery.
Image
Good if car kept pristine, but those front bumpers DO attract idiot-damage wherever you park it.
Comfort
Very comfortable, especially the rear seats. For some reason, front passenger seat feels higher up, and therefore less roomy than driver's side.

Security and Service
Security
OK. Standard equipment fine, only drawback is it costs £30 to program ignition to accept a £2.50 spare ignition key.
Service
VERY POOR. Car came to me with sheared exhaust manifold bolts, which they sorted out after lots of verbal, but then didn't acknowledge a rust problem on a 6-year warranty car!!

Problems and Ownership

Engine
Idle valve (stalling-DESIGN FAULT), sheared exhaust manifold bolts, shoddy parts.
Other
Lovely car, which was let down by shoddy parts and poor dealer network. Sad to see it go.
