Economy
Value
Get loads of kit with the SRis, but depreciates like an ice cube in a desert.
Costs
Ok on fuel, but after 3/4 years just keeping it on the road becomes expensive - and the tyres are around £80+ each at best.

On the road
Driving
SRi models better than any other, but still lacks feedback.
Performance
SRi140 is pretty good, but need to keep the revs up to get any kind acceleration - useless below 3000rpm.

Living with it
Reliability
DON'T keep it this long! Make sure the timing belt pulley is replaced. After 4 years everything starts to wear out or go wrong. Last year, fuel leak, tracking went, air con coolent leak, seat-belt tensioners went, exhaust went, wheel nut key broke...

SRi = Sales Rep Inside! Not a car to boast about owning, but if any SRI/GSi are the model to go for.
Comfort
Very comfy.

Security and Service
Security
Good - almost went deaf when disconnected the battery last year!
Service
Vauxhall service stinks - rarely are the problems ever fixed first time and on 2 occasions more problems appeared right after the service.

Problems and Ownership

Engine
Timing belt pulley snapped (common fault on these cars - I discovered after!) - causing £700 of engine damage.
