Vauxhall Vectra Hatchback 2.2 SRi (150ps) 5d (2002/02) Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
-
Economy
Value
Depreciates fast during early years.
Costs
The smaller the dealer, the cheaper the serivce became. Hartwells wanted £175, local small Vauxhall dealer £135 inc vat.
-
On the road
Driving
Gear change poor, hard to select reverse in mornings and 1st gear at junctions.
Performance
Not bad, limiter cuts in too early for my liking.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Air con repaired twice. Steering column bush replaced twice, both under warranty.
Image
Vauxhalls are not for the image concious. Want an image, buy a BMW.
Comfort
Definately a motorway cruiser, rather than B-road basher.
-
Security and Service
Security
Still got the car. Left it unlocked on two occasions, still no one wanted it.
Service
The larger the dealership, the more the service went downhill.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Bulletproof - only area Vauxhall have got right.
Other
I want my Cavalier back!! I could not recommend buying a Vectra.
