Summary
What does this car say about you?
Still viewed as a bit of a rep-mobile, I think. But for those prepared to look beyond that, its excellent value for money.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Its BIG!!!!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. Because its great value for money. Has a good level of equipment and has been very reliable to date. Also, servicing with main dealer excellent. Only £170 for first 20,000miles service which included an optional engine flush and emmissions check at £30. They even collected the car from home and returned it after the service.
What are you likely to buy next?
Quite probably another Vectra. But maybe the 3.0V6 diesel as we may buy a caravan!

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£9,500
When did you buy the car?
February 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
Was a good buy. Excellent value against the new cost. At time of purchase the car was only 8 months old. Ex-company car with 14,000 miles on the clock.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
To replace existing family car, which was 3 yrs old, and to upgrade to a larger vehicle
What was the dealer like?
OK. Nothing special. The car sold itself really, based upon prce & specification. Dealer didn't do anything to make me go "wow".

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Good to drive. Nice positive steering. The ride is a bit firm though, and gear box slightly notchy.
What's it like to park?
Easy enough. But, if you can stretch to it, I would suggest getting parking sensors. Its a long way to the front of the bonnet!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No problems at all.
What's most practical about your car?
Huge boot size. Largest in its class, I believe. Loads of space for all our bits and pieces when we go family camping.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Electric windows all round comes in handy. The automatic air-con is also good, as are the auto headlights & auto wipers. Cruise control only really comes into its own on quiet roads.
