Summary
What does this car say about you?
I suppose it says cheap skate.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
OK
Would you buy this car again and why?
I just dont like the Insignias but if one came up a good price I might be tempted, would get diesel next time though as fuel prices have just ruled out big engined petrol cars anymore.
What are you likely to buy next?
Audi A3 with a cheap car tax bracket or at right price Insignia diesel.

No

£4,800

February 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
It was very cheap as it had 80K on the clock and just gone 3 years old.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I bought it because it was cheap and at the time I owned an older 2001 Vectra 2.2 SRI which had been great.

Car supermarket.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Plenty of power but not hot hatch fast, good motorway car. Get 35mpg from it overall, can get over 40mpg on a motorway at 70mph.
What's it like to park?
No problems.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Yes, swirl flaps on the air intake. Fixed with replacement air intake manifold fitted by myself. Usual drop links and arb bushes.
What's most practical about your car?
Big inside, bigger than the older one it replaced. Good for towing. Good looking family car better than a people carrier but with the same space. Been to France 4 times in it from the North East with caravan and 4 x bikes on the roof.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Cruise control, its now a must have for me. Sat Nav is OK but you can get better and more flexible on your phone as a free app.
