Summary
What does this car say about you?
I'm probably quite young to own a Vectra as normally it's considered your stereotypical middle-aged man's car, so it probably says that I'm a bit different!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it but my friends won't drive it because it is bigger than their's.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Its a great car but probably not.
What are you likely to buy next?
A Ford Focus or similar.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£2,995
When did you buy the car?
May 2005
Did you get a good deal and why?
At the time other Vectras I saw were being advertised at anything from £1500 to £3995 so I think I paid a fair price for the car.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
What was the dealer like?
Dealer was very helpful and gave the car a full valet and service before it left the forecourt.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very good. Pulls like a train from low revs and downshifts on hills aren't normally needed. Fuel economy isn't bad for a V6 and the tyres stick like glue unless I'm really hammering it!
What's it like to park?
Steering is reasonably heavy compared to most modern cars but its not too bad. Rear visibility is somewhat hindered by the aerodynamic mirrors.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Exhaust backbox had to be replaced, the front brake disks warped and a slight leak developed in the cooling system, but then again it is a 10 year old car.
What's most practical about your car?
Large boot.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Remote central locking is a lifesaver in poor weather.
