Summary
What does this car say about you?
That you favour the unique over the familiar.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They love it. Many had never seen one in the seven years they've been making them!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Definitely, it's a brilliant car. I use it every day for work so pay no attention to anyone who says it's impractical. You have to learn to live with a few things but if you're not prepared for that before you buy it, you should never consider purchasing this car. And it's so worth it........
What are you likely to buy next?
Another VX, probably the Turbo.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£12,000
When did you buy the car?
January 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes. Bought car under market value for milage and age. In January it's hard for dealers to sell convertibles so there's much better deals about.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
It looks amazing, has great performance and is brilliant to drive.
What was the dealer like?
Great. They have a passion for the cars and knew what they were selling, unlike a few dealers I went to.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Incredible. The handling and speed are quite amazing. This is a proper sports car no doubt. I drove lots of roadsters before I decided on this and definitely made the right choice.
What's it like to park?
Difficult as there's no power steering but it's hardly impossible.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The roof leaks a little and lights steam up a bit but you know this before you buy a VX220 (or should do!). Neither are a real issue and the car's forum is a great place for handy hints and tips.
What's most practical about your car?
The boot is a decent size for a sports car. Not big but good enough for a weekend away.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
There aren't any! Unless you count the roof as a gadget.
