Practical. Goes for function of product. (Appearance is fine, but of no relevance when buying).

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Was recommended by my daughter.

Would you buy this car again and why?

For the reliability and function - yes. However I do not now have the need for a car of it's size. It has covered 97,000 miles and is still working.

What are you likely to buy next?

I have replaced it with a Vauxhall Meriva 1600, on the advice of my garage owner (not a dealer), 2 days ago and hope it will give as good a service as the Zafira.

Did you get a good deal and why?

The car was high milage and the dealer had adjusted the price accordingly. Despite the high milage, it was in near perfect working order, and faults were soon put right.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

We required a hatchbak with as much space in the back as possible. Afrer considering many other larger cars we discovered the only one capable of satisfying our requirements was the Zafira. The price also was reasonable.

What was the dealer like?

The dealer was helpful and attended to all faults without query.

What's it like to drive?

Excellent view from a high above the road position. Very smooth and the 1800 had plenty of power even when fully loaded.

What's it like to park?

As with all hatchbacks, some difficulty on seeing behind, but for its size an excellent steering lock enabled parking in relatively small spaces.

Have you had any problems with the car?

After some initial problems with a mixture sensor, the car settled down to reliable working. Brake discs were required at about 60,000 miles which is reasonable, as they are not overpriced. A new radiator had to be fitted at about 70000 miles.

What's most practical about your car?

The spaceous interior. Also the weight (unpublished by the manufactuer) it is capable of carrying in the rear.

Effective air conditioning.
