Vauxhall Zafira 2.0 16V GSi 5d (2003/03) Owner Review

Economy
Value
It's a bit pricey for a Vauxhall, but the combined package of recaros, leather, 17"" alloys & bodykit + not forgetting the 189bhp, it works well
Costs
For an mpv of this size & power - to get 30mpg average?? pretty good if you ask me

On the road
Driving
For such a high up car it handles really well, I don't like not being able to switch off the traction control though - can be a pain when conditions are slippy
Performance
For the size of car, the power is astounding - have beaten a few golf gti's - seems to need thrashed to get the power out though - seems to struggle till you hit 3.5 to 4 KRPM - 0-60 phenominal - getting above 120MPH - a struggle

Living with it
Reliability
Never a problem
Image
To the untrained eye, the car appears to be nothing special - but to those who know what a standard Zafira looks like, and what is under the bonnet - a different story all together
Comfort
Very comfortable indeed - girlfriend's mum doesn't like the back seats (she finds them to firm - have tried to explain that you need that kind of support in a car of this power) - just can't please the future mother in law!!

Security and Service
Security
Not been nicked yet - dissapointed that there is no facility to shut all windows with the remote central locking though
