Vauxhall Zafira 2.0 DTi Comfort 5d (2002/02) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Seems slightly better than average when speaking about trade-in, people seem to value them.
Costs
Would like more mpg, but considering the size of car and the age of the technology, approx 44mpg isn't bad. Other than the hook to retain the spare tyre (corroded), and running costs, it has not cost me any more. Have never topped up oil - I do check!

Driving
Because it's an MPV the driving position can be tiring, but does the job well enough.
Performance
Diesel torque makes driving quite easy. Good on motorway.

Living with it
Reliability
3yrs, 74k miles and never missed a beat. The complete family car.
Image
They seem well regarded, but seem to announce the coming of age and practicality over style and fashion.
Comfort
We don't like the front seats, no complaints from passengers.

Security and Service
Security
Hasn't been tested, haven't bothered with upgrade to secure the spare tyre - Vauxhall should pay for this really.
Service
Tried a dealership closer to work - they left all the oily rags and covers on the passenger seat. They offered 10% off next service - but sometimes you only get the one chance.
