Economy
Value
I bought a UK-sourced model from an independant dealer and saved £5000. I got cruise control, traction control, stability control, curtain airbags, fuel computer and 4 disc CD changer all for £14000. Shop around. Get a high specced diesel!!
Costs
I get around 43mpg on average. Towing a trailer at a steady 60mph I averaged 53mpg. Can't complain.

On the road
Driving
High centre of gravity causes roll on corners, but you should expect that on an MPV. Otherwise very good. Ignore reports of wiper problems there is plenty of visibility, and roundabouts no problem. Some people just can't drive!!
Performance
16v 2.0 litre turbo… diesel. Not a rocketship but fast enough for the real world. Keep the revs between 1500 and 3000 and use the torque. In fourth gear at 40mph it will accelerate swiftly up to 90mph. Don't just rev it to the limit, it won't reward.

Living with it
Reliability
Have had the car just over a year, bought new and have done 13600 miles. Nothing has gone wrong, not a fuse or a bulb. No rattles or squeaks either. The engine has used just 1 litre of oil. Vauxhall say it could use up to a litre every thousand, so check.
Image
It's an MPV, a kid carrier, but I get lots of admiring glances and comments. A good looking family car. Buy a new style chrome grille from Vauxhall for £15.00 and jazz up an older model. (Only 5 little screws to fix on).
Comfort
Front seats comfy, middle row missing 3 point seatbelt but loads of leg room. Seats 6 & 7 smaller but had no complaints from adults on long journeys. It does wallow a little but kids never sick. Other reviewers just exaggerate the problem.

Security and Service
Security
Alarm and immobiliser as standard. I have two sets of locking wheel nuts as well so fingers crossed…
Service
I use Maple garage at Mappleton, East yorkshire for parts and servicing. 1st year service £95.00. Check Vauxhall prices for spares as some are cheaper than motor factors.

None but check oil level every week till run in (15,000 miles).
