Economy
Value
Depreciation is a bit steep for such a versatile vehicle. Would only buy Elegance because other models not well equiped.
Costs
Expensive for what they actually do on a service. Oil at 12 months and air filter at 24 months - on a diesel ? Our air filter failed at 6 months!

On the road
Driving
Enjoy high seating position. Not a sportscar obviously but handles very safely and confidently. Not adversely affected with seven passengers and luggage. Behaves very safely and comfortably.
Performance
Good for a heavy car (extra seats). Can really shift when turbo comes in. Good flexibility (low down torque). Economy 38mpg average, 45mpg on a run.

Living with it
Reliability
Never missed a beat. Air filter neaded replacing much sooner than scheduled due to flat performance.
Image
Very attractive, particularly with alloy wheels. Not a fashion design experiment, so might be a bit plain for some.
Comfort
Good ride. Comfortable seats. Low noise, even for a diesel. Good driving position with plenty of adjustment for a six footer.

Security and Service
Security
Good in elegance version with factory alarm and deadlocks.
Service
Service has been inconsistent when problems have ben reported - second opinion sought - air filter problem for example.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Air filter - flat performance and black smoke - unburnt fuel.
Other
Wheel alignment needed adjustment, spare wheel mechanism keeps coming loose. Alloy wheels are difficult to keep clean.
