Summary
What does this car say about you?
Getting older!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it - black suits the Zafira.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Probably not. A few years down the road they'll be looking their age. Depends whether I'm still camping.
What are you likely to buy next?
If I'm camping, perhaps an S-Max. If not, a sporty 2-seater mid-life-crisis mobile like a SLK.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£10,000
When did you buy the car?
April 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes. Got £1,000 knocked off the sticker price and the garage had a warranty offer that wek - giving me four years warranty. Also squeezed a set of mats out of them and a good finance deal.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I wanted a practical car to cope with our camping gear. I also wanted a petrol engine because I hear that diesels are unreliable when used for everyday short journeys.
What was the dealer like?
Very friendly, even when hardball negotiating. Know the franchise well, have had vauxhalls before.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
I'm used to more powerful cars so 140bhp doesn't set my heart fluttering, but it's very easy and light to drive.
What's it like to park?
It's fine, helped by rear sensors.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No. It hasn't put a foot wrong. Pleased I chose petrol.
What's most practical about your car?
Easy access, good ride height, very very practical.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Elite model comes pretty well loaded - auto mirror, lights, wipers etc. Sports leather seats are far nicer than the ordinary Zafira seats with lateral padding and squab tilt. Mostly though I like the huge luggage area.
