Definitely a family man!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Don't give a monkeys!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. Hard to fault. The new 170 whisper quiet diesel should be excellent.
What are you likely to buy next?
Possibly this one again. Touran looks dull and the S max looks pricey........

When did you buy the car?

Did you get a good deal and why?
Motability so paid up a small deposit only: free servicing, tax, tyres, breakdown cover etc for 3 years. Wife had to surrender most of her DLA payment though every month.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Motability. Needed space and lots of it. Drove superbly and the 165 CDTI has become over the years a good engine.

Peter Vardy Vauxhall have been excellent.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
For a 1700kg machine suprisingly well. 165bhp and boat loads of diesel torque just adds to effortless experience. SRI spec brings excellent road holding and body control so can be pushed hard if the need arises. Ride and refinement hard to fault - but tyre noise is noticeable on poorly surfaced roads.
What's it like to park?
Easy: parking sensors!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Covered 11k miles and one rear brake light bulb. TSB on rear discs to stop a whine on reverse has been done but I could have lived with not getting this done: optional on my part! Otherwise, solidly built in Belgium!
What's most practical about your car?
Try 650litres of std boot space which can be made bigger/smaller by sliding the rear passenger seats. Van like proportions if you put the rear bench down too! 7 seats handy for those little people collections!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Love the GM cruise control. iPod control useful.
