Volkswagen Arteon Coupe (2017 - 2024) Elegance 2.0 TDI SCR 190PS DSG auto 5d Owner Review

In their own words
First of all this is a wonderful looking Car that prompts the Question "What is it"? A few months in the Car has grown on me. It is responsive, quick when needed and very comfortable. Over a mix of journeys the average mileage per gallon has been a pleasing 39.5. Boot space and rear seating are exceptional and the hatchback enables large loads to be handled. Over the few months I have had the car the weather has included snow and ice, which are not helpful when manoeuvring such a large car. Having chosen the Elegance line the standard equipment is excellent and it is good to have a CD player again. The touchscreen works well with Android Auto. Whilst an extremely comfortable car it is better suited to main roads, being a little fidgety on country roads. I like the 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine developing 187bhp (190PS), which drives the front wheels via a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox. Apparently the top speed is 149mph, with 0-62mph acceleration in 7.7 seconds. Whilst not going anywhere near these extremes the car is pleasantly rapid when needed. It is a nice driving car and is o.k to park thanks to the all round sensors. The turning circle is larger than I am used to but manageable. My last car was the huge Skoda Superb Estate, which was certainly better in this regard. It is with me on a 24 month Contract Hire Deal (very inexpensive for the luxury of the Car) and I am happy with the choice. It is an unusual choice with very few on the Road. I like this semi exclusive feel. So far so good. Incidentally it sits low to the Ground which may not suit everyone. Personally I am 63 and find it easy to get in and out of. Finally passengers love it.
