Volkswagen Arteon Coupe (2017 - 2024) R-Line 2.0 TSI 190PS DSG auto 5d Owner Review

Car looks great and drives well for the most part. Stop/start system tends to cut in whenever it fancies and normally mid manoeuvre which is unhelpful. Extremely poor reliability. In 3.5 years of ownership, AA have been called out several times, most recently for a total transmission failure. Spent weeks in the garage waiting for a whole new dsg gearbox (for a 5yr old car with low miles). Previously had a new water pump. All repaired under warranty but a shameful indictment of VW reliability particularly of its flagship model. Avoid like the plague.
