Volkswagen Beetle Hatchback (1999 - 2010) 2.3 V5 3d Owner Review

After driving a friends beetle it put such a grin on my face and felt so much bigger inside. I started to do some research and found they did the V5 model but found the sport version to be usually abused and not a very attractive car. Was hard to find a V5 non sport model but i was very glad i was patient and searched. Mechanically it is the same as the sport models but its much more understated and discreet with the only external difference being the auto spoiler. The power delivery from the V5 engine is very smooth and makes it a very fun car to drive... And def surprises a few people . Had no serious problems in my ownership, just the usual maintenance, battery, springs replaced, front wheel bearings. The only long term issue i have had is aircon not working due to a faulty pipe that VW cant seem to supply. All in all very happy. Not a car I'd want to let go, makes me smile every time i drive it.
