Volkswagen Beetle Hatchback (1999 - 2010) 2.3 V5 3d Owner Review

I have owned my life long top car for 18mths now, a 2.3 V5 VW Beetle and I absolutely love it to bits. It is nippy around town, just the right amount of oomph on the dual carriageways and takes your breath away and pushes you back in your seat on slip roads onto motorways. It is a sheep in wolfs clothing and has certainly caught unaware boy drivers when they see a girlie in a Bug ! Which has happened a lot . Plenty of space inside but not for a small family I would say as the boot is small - there is only ever 2 or 3 adults in my car so it's perfect for me. I've had two niggles, 1 the YAW SENSOR and 2 the boot release catch kept sticking both were replaced at a very reasonable cost thanks to a local Beetle Club connection. All in all I have an amazing bug and my family (all grown up) and friends absolutely love it as I do. I get lots of comments and people are astounded when he starts up as he has a natural standard grunt to him. I've had some amazing cars over the years but my bug is the best I've ever owned and I intend on keeping him for a very long time, mainly because he's amazing but also because he's a collectors item now.
