Summary
What does this car say about you?
Smart choice made without being a crowd-following hatchback devotee.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They are hatchback devotees, so can't see the point of having a well equipped, solid saloon car that is not a BMW
Would you buy this car again and why?
No, I've had two now and they are getting old and hard to find. To have the same quality and feeling of "special" cabin, I'll have to try and Audi.
What are you likely to buy next?
Either Audi A4 or new A3 saloon if it ever gets made. Golf 6 is nicely made, but I would prefer avoiding a hatch.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£4,600
When did you buy the car?
June 2011
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes, I got the car at book value, which is rare from a dealer.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Audi like build quality for Ford money. What else can you buy that has heated leather seats, parking sensors, cruise control and a well made cabin for under £5k?
What was the dealer like?
Less pushy than normal, though like in most cases, the car they trying to sell is perfect in their view.
-
Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Quiet and refined, but not fun like my old Focus. Much more stable though.
What's it like to park?
View out is not great, but easy enough with the parking sensors.
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No, this is the second Bora highline I've had, and neither have given me any trouble.
What's most practical about your car?
Very large boot, and front passenger space is great. Rear seat is small however.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Heated leather seat, 8 speaker stereo, cruise control, parking sensors, blue dials; all this as standard equipment.
