Did you get a good deal and why?
Sort of. Give us book price for my 1.4 Peugeot 306 without even seeing the car and 3 months warranty. Got it from Readings of Wakefield (Stay away from them!!)
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Baby was on the way and needed something bigger than my Peugoet 306 & bigger than my partners Peugeot 206, and also being a little more powerfull.
What was the dealer like?
Independent garage was rubbish. Took them 5 week to send replacement wing mirror cover (was cracked when purchased the car) and i think this was done with a spray can. Gear stick cover also replaced due to ripped leather and was snapped into place, so always came off in hand. Also used some dodgey garage which failed to replace air filter pipe, and also fitted a cluch which started to slip 4 weeks later.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Was quite quick and went around corners quite good.
What's it like to park?
Very easy but back end is very hard to see

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
It has snapped a total of 3 driveshafts, which was down to engine mounts. Gearbox has also had teath replaced and 2 sets of seals as these kept failing. CV joint also failed twice due to the engine mounts. Car was lumpy on tick over, and stalled sometimes when you came from motorways, which sometimes proved very unsafe
What's most practical about your car?
The big boot and also the power. From coming from a 1.4 to a 1.6 was quite a difference. Pulled very well on motorways, but tended to spin the front wheels a hell of a lot.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Its a 1.6 S so no gadgets or options apart from doors, wheels and an engine.
