Economy
Value
There are some silly priced Corrado owners, but if you do buy from an enthusiast, the price may be a bit high, but the motor will be mint.
Costs
Parts are slightly expensive, but they rarely go wrong. Original VW parts are very high, but if you buy from German/Swedish Car Parts it wont be too bad on the pocket.

On the road
Driving
Fantastic car to drive. Joyful and good, relaxing, motorway drive.
Performance
Awsome power and a sweet engine growl once an induction kit is fitted. Big engine in a light car, so it will definitely perform.

Living with it
Reliability
Very reliable. If it's taken care of, then it will give you no problems. Regular servicing is all you need.
Image
Being a rare car is as good as it gets. Hardly anyone knows what it is, but they're never disappointed when they see it.
Comfort
The rear is cramped, but driving postion is fine. Has adjustable steering column/seats so it's bad. Full leather interior makes it very cosy.

Security and Service
Security
Always fit an expensive alarm with plenty of sensors. Just gives you that extra piece of mind.
Service
I believe VW wouldn't give the same level to a Corrado owner as they would to someone with a new plate Golf, simply because the Corrado is discontinued car. I have my regular mechanic who used to work for VW.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Do an oil change every 6 months or 5k miles and your engine will not disappoint. Be prepared to spend that little bit extra when it comes to service times and you will see the benefits. 105k miles and still going strong.
Other
Had to change the ABS sensor and fan switch sensor.
