Volkswagen Corrado (1989 - 1996) 2.9 VR6 3d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
I had a couple of 1.8 16v versions when i was younger, always felt i missed out by not experiencing the joy of owning a VR6 version. I started looking for one and after a few months i managed to source a 3 owner low mileage 82k car. Ive now set about replacing all the tired components, replacing suspension, newer alloys, flushed out oil and coolant, changed leads and plugs, replaced thermostat, expansion bottle, auxiliary water pump. Upgraded window wipers to Audi TT mk1 wipers. Also have new engine mounts to replace aswell. Some parts are discontinued now so be wary of buying one with rotten wings as you cant get new ones any longer. Front fogs and indicators will set you back £250-£350 per side. On a positive note though the sound of the 2.9 VR6 engine is one of the best sounding cars ive owned and ive owned a fair few. the drive is sublime and the power is perfect the way it is delivered. If you want one by one now as prices are climbing just like every thing else. You wont be disappointed.
How reliable do you find the car?
Due to it still having low mileage for it being 25 years old, some bits on it were still original. Had to change thermostat (common), water bottle expansion tank had aged and was yellow, sun roof was broke (common).About their car
