• Summary

    3 out of 5 3.0

What does this car say about you?

She likes to arrive at a destination with messed up hair - roof down = instant birds nest. Roof up = drenched by internal waterfall (really, why!!!).

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They think it is "posh" (their words) due to the fact the roof drops and it has pretty cream leather.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No. Rain is supposed to stay on the outside.

What are you likely to buy next?

Anything without an internal waterfall. The list is really quite extensive on that front as not many cars are daft enough to have one.

  • Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £6,300

When did you buy the car?

    September 2014

Did you get a good deal and why?

This is an impossible question to answer - I paid what I was happy to pay and the owner was willing to accept that amount of money in exchange for the car. Was it a good deal, who knows!

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

    The roof comes off!

    What was the dealer like?

Private seller - nice guy with a big house.

  • Driving it

    3 out of 5 3.0

    What's it like to drive?

Fairly nippy in sport mode, but like all convertible hard tops the weight distribution is rubbish. With the roof up the heavy front end and the fact it is putting a lot of power through the front wheels means you wheel spin getting out of most junctions. With the roof down you are aware you are pulling a heavy butt.

    What's it like to park?

It has rear parking sensors and with the roof down there is nothing to block your view. Due to the large, pillarless, windows the visibility is good with the roof up. In summary, easy to park.

  • Living with it

    2 out of 5 2.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Rain likes to come inside. Rain is not supposed to come inside. Apart from that, nothing out of the ordinary for mileage.

What's most practical about your car?

It's a coupe/convertible - absolutely nothing is "practical" about the car and you do not buy this car because you want a practical car. However, it is pleasantly surprising that my two kids fit in the back without any permanent damage to their knees and I can get a Phil&Teds Pushchair and a weekly shop in (even with the roof down).

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

It has all the usual gubbins you would want on a high spec car - nothing especially exciting you wouldn't find on most other cars. Least favourite option is the "internal waterfall" - what idiot ticked that box??
