What does this car say about you?

I had a limited budget and went for the VW reputation and the lowest mileage I could get for my money.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They think it looks nice enough, but are not surprised when I tell them how boring it is to drive.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No, I wouldn't. I don't smile when I get in and turn the key. It's a chore.

What are you likely to buy next?

Already looking to trade it in for a Peugeot 206 or a Ford Fiesta, something a little more stylish and sexy.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Decent trade in price on my old car, plus 12 month warranty and free breakdown cover.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Newest car I could find within my budget, and VW reputation.

What was the dealer like?

No pressure at the time of sale, very friendly but relaxed. No follow up aftersales though, and took three phone calls to get a handbook for the car.

What's it like to drive?

Boring, boring, boring. Friend remarked it was like driving a van. Engine noisy. LCD display hard to see when the sun shines on it. Steers well, and road holding is OK. But where's the fun?

What's it like to park?

Good to park, turning circle is excellent. Visibility terrible out of the rear window, especially if you're only 5ft 3. Yes, I know I can raise the seat, but I don't have a handbook yet to tell me how!

Have you had any problems with the car?

Minor niggles only; indicators and wiper stalks tend to stick in the 'on' position.

What's most practical about your car?

Certainly very roomy inside, and easy to park.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

CD player.
