Volkswagen Fox (2006 - 2012) 1.4 3d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
I bought this fox with very little fore planing as I needed a temporary car for a couple of weeks. However I love this little VW and four years later the fox is still on the driveway along with my EOS and Tiguan. So, as the price point would suggest this is a basic car, its nowhere near as refined as its brothers and sisters but then its not supposed to be. If you wanted refinement and luxury you would be looking for a bigger (and much more expensive) model. My particular one is the base Fox and the original owner was clearly on a budget as it has no extras at all, so no electric windows, mirrors or even central locking which is a little surprising. However it is cheap, has been faultlessly reliable and whilst it lacks the refinement and luxury, its still roomy, comfortable and enjoyable to drive.
The 1.4 petrol is nice and quiet whilst being economical and powerful enough for everyday driving. You won't be winning many races in it but its designed for the city where it'll trundle about all day and then get up to 70+ if you take it further afield.
There isn't really a lot else to say, its typical VW quality in its design and build whilst being a perfect A to B car for those who aren't so interested in the rest. It won't replace the EOS as a fun car, or the Tiguan for the longer journeys but I'll jump in this over either of those to pop to the shops or nip into town.
