Summary
What does this car say about you?
I like value for money.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it but at the same time think I am a bit daft in taking on the restoration. The restoration will be near original but with a few styling twists that will be subtle, leather interior to match paint, bumpers, side stripe and spats to match wheels etc.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, Low running costs, value can only go up and the smile it puts on your face when you drive it.

The new Audi TT due out next year possibly.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Modern cars can learn a thing or two about ride and handling from this car. Visibility is great, parking not a problem. I appreciate safety is not up to present day standards.
What's it like to park?
A revelation over modern high waisted small review window hatchback of today.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Apart from an electrical fault that cut out the engine after a few miles, traced to a faulty fuse. It has been a case of slow replacement of old parts with new ones.
What's most practical about your car?
Mpg high 30s, keeps up with modern traffic no problem, simple mechanicals to work on.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Favourite gadget is that it has NO gadgets, just pure driving pleasure.
