Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£4,500
When did you buy the car?
August 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
i think so - i got the impression they had had the car a while and it had been left right back in the far reaches of the forecourt, golf estates are not that popular and most want the more economical versions
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
needed an estate car for work but wanted something pokier than the 307 diesel the company were offering
What was the dealer like?
was reluctant to get the carout for test drive unless i agreed to buy the car first, i told him that im not agreeing to anything until i know what im buying - he then got the car out

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
its basically a golf gti estate - same sports seats, suspension and 150hp turbo engine. sometimes its a bit too quick and other drivers will pull out in front of you on roundabouts - obviously thinking its only a golf estate it wont get here that quick
What's it like to park?
easy - flat back and great vision from easy dipping mirrors there are no need for parking sensors.
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
alternator, turbo diaphram and air con all fixed under warranty
What's most practical about your car?
big boot - lots of room
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
auto wipers are good but auto tinting mirror is great - takes all the glare out of your eye at night- superb
