Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Six gears mean rather frequent gear-change in built-up areas, but it is very comfortable to drive, and the diesel torque means that I can accelerate in 5th gear on a 10% incline.
What's it like to park?
Easy, but My towbar has caused damage to others!
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing significant, apart from two major collisions - one in France which was entirely the other driver's fault and one at home which was my fault.
What's most practical about your car?
Superb acceleration, even when towing a trailer tent, excellent luggage capacity and economy of fuel - I still do 60-64 mpg on long runs.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Metallic beige (which looks like gold) finish which we chose as 2002 was the year of our golden wedding anniversary, and, of course the registration number was 52 The multi-function steering wheel.
