Volkswagen Golf GTE - it's a Golf petrol/electric hybrid that claims 188mpg.

Very helpful and friendly.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very smooth - it had done 116,000 miles when I bought it, but you can't tell. The Bluemotion version includes a gear selection display on the dashboard that tells you to change up/down for best fuel economy.
What's it like to park?
More difficult than my previous cars (Xsara Picasso, Focus) as the back extends further past the wheels and I live in a densely populated terraced house area, where parking spaces are at a premium.

Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing
What's most practical about your car?
Lots of really useful things you don't necessarily think of when buying, such as auto dimming rear view mirror, as well as the start/stop engine of course. I do a lot of inner city driving, so this is great.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Bluetooth connection from phone to audio equipment allows me to play my iphone music without a physical connection.
