Volkswagen Golf Estate (2013 - 2020) 2.0 TDI GT 5d Owner Review

In their own words
Bought the version with tan leather seats and I blo*dy love it. Having had a long history with VW's, right the way from a 71 Beetle, I find the build and drive quality far superior to anything else I've ever driven. Add in the cavernous space, high spec and 150BHP makes for a fun driving experience.
It's scarily easy to be very illegal very quickly and the driver aids such as the autonomous braking have helped on a few occasions (the latter even lowered my insurance premium quite significantly). The adaptive cruise control could be sharper and, yes, the styling won't worry Pininfarina but it's an unassuming, fun drive. The low emissions tax is also a bonus.
Had a couple of niggles since buying but the VW Das Welt 1yr warranty has taken care of them.
Would definitely recommend.
How reliable do you find the car?
Couple of niggles with corroded brake backing plates and a rattle in the boot lid. Both covered by dealer warranty.About their car
