i like old cars im unique as everyone at sixth form have boring everyday cars im a car nut
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
friends - love it apart from the harsh ride, which i love family - love the fact it's a lovely example, and my dad likes the fact i want to do everything i can myself on it :) neighbours think its a german inport (pressed plates) i also had everyone in my local vw garage looking around it and admiring it!
Would you buy this car again and why?
yes because its such a nice drive and i have fallen in love with it
What are you likely to buy next?
keep this and maybe drop a 16v gti engine from a mk3 in! or a bora/mk4 golf and keep the mk2 as a sunday drive :)

was up for £1700, had a set of G60 wheels and a spare set of weller wheels, 77K miles, year old webber carb, KW variant 3's worth a grand and the body work is mint

always loved MK2 golfs

What's it like to drive?
for a first car at 18 very nippy, love the sound of it with the K&N panel filter, gives it abit of a roar, handles beautifully, quicker than 1.2 corsa, 1.4 fiestas and the like :)
What's it like to park?
fairly easy, no PAS is a bugger but i see it as a workout

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
started running rough, but cleaned the carb and plugs and filter and everythings ok again, touch wood.
What's most practical about your car?
big boot, nice size, room in the back
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
the suspension as you can really push it through the bends, just go slowwww over speed bumps :)
