Summary
What does this car say about you?
Your not into electric windows, or GPS, or heated seats, or electric sunroof, or PAS. All you care is about driving, your a true driver, no ABS, no PAS, no Traction control.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Most people buy the best car they can afford, because they think it makes them look stronger and more wealthy. I preffer old school cars, they stand out from the rest.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, i am planning on buying a gti, either 8v or 16v (probably 16v), and then after that, a G60.
What are you likely to buy next?
GTi 16v, followed by a G60.

Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£650
When did you buy the car?
January 2008
Did you get a good deal and why?
Good deal but could have been better. Few minor things on the bodywork like some dents and spots of rust but mnothing major. Car had lots of old bits replaced and engine only had 105k miles so it was very strong
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Solid, reliable, fast, handles like a dream
What was the dealer like?
Very relaxed, knows what he was talking about.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
one word. Amazing. Puts a smile on my face every time i turn the key and drive off. Pulls like a horse for a 1.6, gearbox is tight and precise, handles incredibly well too.
What's it like to park?
very easy as its small and easy to see out off. Because of the car's brick like shape, its easy to know where the edges of the car are.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Owned the car for 8 months now, and only one thing had gone wrong, which took 5 minutes to fix.
What's most practical about your car?
Its a pocket rocket. 1.6 but has quite some punch. Loads of boot space available and very practical. good space in the back too.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Being 19 years old it doesnt have many gadgets, but then again, it doesnt need them. An old school golf is about driving it not living in it.
