They like the looks and know what good quality VWs are.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes I would buy another MK3 Golf, but not another one in this condition or colour (red, but it's fading badly on some panels and has some rust). I like the performance, image and excellent economy. I would deffinately get another TDI.

What are you likely to buy next?

I may buy a van for my gardening business. I wish VW did a 3 seater small/midsize van. Or a Passat estate. I'd like to stay with VW

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I like all generations of the Golf. I was wanting a newer one but the one I bought was a good price with money left over for the work it needed.

What's it like to drive?

Excellent. Good, firm and supportive seats. Pulls away on it's own in 1st and 2nd gears just by lifting the clutch. The power comes from no revs at all: 1800 revs and above (that's when the turbo kicks in fully on mine). Gearbox is superb, very slick and precise changes in all gears. Excellent for overtaking, just tap the accelerator and it's away like a rocket. Road and wind noise are quite loud at speeds out of the town.

What's it like to park?

Very easy with PAS and good all-round vision.

5 doors, large boot, rear seats fold flat.
