Economy
Value
Hard to find one cheap.
Costs
Got the cambelt changed at 60K, and soon after needed new front discs and wishbones, which wasn't cheap. Expected wear and tear though, no surprises.

Driving
Reasonably fun to drive, handling is quite safe, don't accelerate too hard around corners though.
Performance
Performs well after 4500rpm, but you feel a bit bad pushing it this far too often!
-

Reliability
No surprises at all. Check levels every month and nothing changes!

Good driving position, comfortable sports seats on long journeys.

VW main dealers too expensive, try independent, can be just as good if you find one you trust.
