Good, strong well-built car for the money.

Price of a new gearbox including fitting is 1400 quid!

Nice drive. Relatively responsive accelerator and steering.
Performance
It needs working hard in first gear to get it anywhere in second gear. Good for motorway crusin. Say goodbye to xr2s and xr3s easily.

Reliability
Rear shocker has gone. Reverse gear keeps making an awful noise and is poppin out all the time.

Owning a GTi is every school boy's dreams! It certainly was mine! The have always looked the don!

Very comfortable. A nice amount of room in the back for passengers.

Cat 1 is the don... windows and sunroof all close if left open when alarm and immobiliser are armed.
