They like it, although have had people steal bits from it so someone likes it too much.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, very good car and very solid.
What are you likely to buy next?
Another VW golf but in the shape of a mk2, with a mk3 16v engine underneath.

Did you get a good deal and why?
Well. Debatable. Came with 12 months test and 6 months tax. Later found out it had failed the MOT test before i bought it, and it had passed due to dealer being paired with MOT test centre.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Dad owned 5 of these while I was growing up. This car means alot to me.
What was the dealer like?
He was a dealer - up himself.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Good, but standard ride is too soft. Needs decent suspension and some engine upgrades to make it spicy.
What's it like to park?
Easy enough. Mk2 was easier due to more "box" shape.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
PAS pump leaked after afew weeks of owning it, replaced with a good second hand one and its been fine ever since, although the pas pump going caused the steering rack to fail. Steering is now heavier than usual and creacks. Also had gearbox mount and top mounts go.
What's most practical about your car?
Plenty for road driving and fun, and can transport 4 people with comfort. Can also transport large items with the rear seats down, large boot space.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Pretty poverty spec GTI mine. No aircon or fancy extras, just the standard GTI equipment. Favourite aftermarket stuff is the sound system, 4 tweeters, 4 mid range speakers, 2 6x9s, 12" sub at the back along with 750 watt amplifier. Plenty of sound with no distortion.
