What does this car say about you?

For my age at the time and giving the fact I had 18" Audi RS4 Alloys on it at the time it said WOW to lots of people everyone at the time was seriously impressed and giving the fact that I was most likely one of the first people to have such alloys on a MK4 Golf in my area at the time it did turn heads and make people look. Now I find they are pretty common!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Smart / Posh car for my age / Father was always impressed until the problems / mother loved it / Sister loved it and street I live in all upgraded their cars when I bought it! haha.

Would you buy this car again and why?

NO - I would never touch another MK4 Golf through out the whole time I owned it I often has lots of problems on top of the common wearing problems it was most likely the worst car I have ever owned in my life. I wasn't the only one as I have always been keen on getting to know people and friends copy the same cars as I get they all had problems with lots of different models of the VW Range. VW Passat B5 / B6 / MK4 150PD TDI / GTI 1.8 MK4 Etc All had endless problems and have ALL gone to Japanese Cars and not looked back since!

What are you likely to buy next?

I bought a Honda Civic Type R EP3 2005 after the MK4 Golf and I can HONESTLY say I have never once looked back! Bomb proof car compared to the VW.

I always wanted a MK4 Golf!

What was the dealer like?

Dealer - He was a nice guy didn't know much about cars so that wasn't great but I was young buying a car at the time.

What's it like to drive?

Smooth / Comfortable / Nice Feeling / Not bad speed for a 1.6.

What's it like to park?

Easy enough to park!

Have you had any problems with the car?

I hope this box is big enough for the problems I had with my MK4 Golf... ECU - Failed = £1000 Gearbox - Links Dropped = £800 N/S Window - Rails Broke - £90 Back Box - Blowing = £220 (Cat Back Replacement LongLife) EGR - Idle Problems - £90 Rear Bushes - Common Problem There was more but thats enough!

What's most practical about your car?

5 Doors = Very nice for giving people lifts Boot Space - Was a nice size Comfortable - Nice Ride.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Wipers - Different Speed Options Comfort - Loved the comfort in this car.
