Economy
Value
Good value when compared to Audi A3, good equipment levels as standard.
Costs
Company car so not sure, but I understand dealer charges premium of GTi/V6 services.
-
On the road
Driving
Pleasurable car to drive in most situations, WATCH THE FOR THE LOW SUMP, debris in the road can trash the sump, it did mine! It's very low!
Performance
Generally performance is good bearing in mind the car is so fat and heavy! Gearing seems to tall and second to third is duff change. VW should have made this car faster - a GTi! 180bhp would do!
-
Living with it
Reliability
Creaking doors: five visits, wiper hits A pillar: four visits, seat belt jammed, alarm faults, rear wiper, bulbs blowing, etc.
Image
Becoming a rep wagon, but still looks good and has credibilty.
Comfort
Recaros are good solid seats, nice driving position and plenty of room for the taller driver, but not the rear passengers!

Security and Service
Security
Like most modern cars ,appears suitably protected.
Service
John Fox Nottingham have provided an appalling level of service. Enough to stop me ever owning a VW again (unless I move!).
