Economy
Value
Imported, very low depreciation.
Costs
Servicing a bit expensive other than that fine.
-
On the road
Driving
Safe handling but cornering not so good mainly due to body roll. Also steering was a bit uncommunicative and vague. Focus is better.
Performance
Not red hot but plenty of torque for overtaking and effortless on the motorway. Just a bit of turbo lag.

Living with it
Reliability
Nothing major but rattles came and went and Near Side window mechanism failed.
Image
A bit plain, but classy and didn't attract unwanted attention.
Comfort
Great seats (heated) and solid cabin as good as a hatch back gets. In fact MK V not as good!

Security and Service
Security
Fine.
Service
First dealer was absolutely appalling they handle Audi so I will never by one of those. Present dealer is OK, but VW really need to sort this aspect out as their charges are at a premium level and the service certainly isn't.
