Powerful engine pulls well through the gears ,overtaking a breeze even in 6th gear , motorway a pleasure, A roads excellent, fuel economy to power is fantastic, very happy with my 130 gt tdi . At 164k its no spring chicken but a 1 owner and full service history certainly helped, only ever failed 2 mots in 13 years leading me to believe its a great German car. I have owned Vw's before and this is the best, beter than the later mk5's
